324 Coco This magnificent first reproduction horse was created by John Zalar for Hersheypark, Hershey, PA. Coco a stander, has marvelous trappings as well as an eagle holding a gold star. This is PTC's No. 47 Carousel. Zalar/PTC $219.00

332 Chief Chief operates at Libertyland Theme Park in Memphis, TN. Chief is a Dentzel original reproduction from this Carousel. The Black horse with white tail and mane is adorned with chieftain and Indian type straps and saddle. Dentzel $219.00

342 Spike Spike, an armored jumper, operates at the Pavilion Park, Myrtle Beach, SC. A Herschell-Spillman style carousel horse. A spike on the forehead, thus the name. Herschell-Spillman $219.00

376 Hersheypark II This PTC carousel # 47 operates at Hersheypark, PA. This second white stander with its head aloft is high "stepping". Much of the expressive style in the face and strength of the horse was developed when Zalar carved for Charles Looff, who supplied carousel horses to PTC. Zalar/PTC $219.00

380 Kings Island III This PTC stander operates at Paramount's Kings Island Theme Park in Kings Island, OH. PTC $219.00

340 Kit Carson I This magnificent lead horse on PTC # 6, in Burlington, Colorado has a suit of German armor over an intricate chain-mail blanket. Attached head guard with spike is a threatening sight. PTC# 6, was originally commissioned to Elitch Gardens in Denver, CO. Kit Carson County Commissioners purchased the carouse in 1928 for $1250. 384 Kit Carson Giraffe This Giraffe operates on PTC # 6 in Burlington, Colorado. Simple in design with a serpent coiled about it's neck is striking! The Kit Carson Commissioners purchased the carousel in 1928 for $1250. PTC $219.00

356 Baraboo Herschell's contrasting style to other carvers was to have distinctively large heads and small bodies. Very simple and plain, Herschell utilized pin striping to enhance the simple designs. Baraboo operated at Circus World in Baraboo, WI. Herschell $219.00

330 Lamb Looff's style placed many popular decorations behind or hanging from the saddle. A lamb is being rescued riding safely behind the saddle. This horse operates at Crescent Park, Riverside Park, Rhode Island. Looff made about 40 carousels in his career. Looff $219.00

345 Meridian This aristocratic looking stander with a hair tail horse operates at Highland Park, Meridan, MS. Dentzel's collection of carousel horses were set apart from his contemporaries with delicate figures hanging from the trappings. Dentzel $219.00

357 Central Park The original carousel was replaced in 1954 with a Stein & Goldstein carousel. Central Park carousel has been entertaining New Yorkers for the last 130 years. Stein & Goldstein's trademark was long bodies, huge buckles and deep relief flowers. This jumper operates there today. Stein & Goldstein $219.00

1005 Kit Carson Black & White This magnificent Black and White Paint operates today on the PTC # 6, in Burlington, Colorado. This horse has many of Daniel Muller's touches. This well proportioned horse with slender legs has the classic pose of a Muller creation. PTC $219.00

329 Falcon A falcon rides behind the saddle, like many of Looff's carvings he often used the hunter's kill as decoration, such as; birds, foxes, and rabbits. This horse operates at Crescent Park, Riverside, Rhode Island. Crescent Park was Looff's showplace for new carvings. Looff $219.00

388 Hersheypark III This PTC carousel #47 operates at Hersheypark, Hershey, PA. This third brown stander is stern but sophisticated. Much of the expressive styles in the face and strength of the horse was developed when Zalar carved for Charles Looff. Zalar/PTC $219.00

319 Ole Blue This blue PTC jumper operates at Six Flags on PTC # 35 in Eureka, Missouri. With flowers on the neck and rump with a rich red decorative chest harness and a delicate yellow saddle blanket. This carousel was commissioned in 1915. PTC $219.00

328 Dagger As with most of Looff's designs a "dagger" is located near the rear of the saddle. This hair tail horse is decorated with bright orange, red, yellow and blue on its trappings and saddle blanket. With cropped mane this jumper used to operate at Shoreline Village at Long Beach, CA, circa 1906, but has moved to San Francisco. Looff $219.00

331 Checkers Carmel borrowed many decorative themes from other carvers. This well proportioned stander has a hair tail, with a most distinctive blanket that resembles a checker board. This horse used to operate at Old Town Park, Kissimmee, FL. Carmel $219.00

341 Dollywood This aristocratic brown stander with two white socks used to operate at Dollywood Park, Pigeon Forge, TN. That carousel has been sold. Dentzel's collection of carousel horses were set apart from his contemporaries with delicate figures hanging from the trappings. Dentzel $219.00

350 St. Louis Dentzel, the grandfather of American Carousels designers had many of his contemporaries design for him. This white stander with tints of gray has a simple and customary trappings and saddle. The original carousel was made in 1905 for Faust Park, St. Louis, MO. Dentzel $219.00

378 Trimper Rides Like Parker, most of the Herschell-Spillman carousels were portable, thus the horses were simple and hollow to reduce the weight. The Herschell-Spillman Company began building carousel in 1907. This magnificent white prancer has some simple decorative flowers adorning its side. 362 Worlds of Fun Parker's Flying Horse Swing, of which he had four, traveled throughout the midwest and west, entertaining thousands. This yellow jumper full of action operates at Worlds of Fun, Kansas City, MO. Parker's horses were typically long. C. W. Parker $219.00

393 Kennywood A Dentzel style carousel horse features include delicate figures hanging from the trappings. This aristrocratic stander operates at Kennywood Park, West Mifflin,PA, circa 1927. Dentzel $219.00

335 Astroworld This Dentzel Serpent operates at Astroworld in Houston, TX. This sleek, silver serpent is a delight both on land and in the sea. Simple decorated but striking in stature. Often called a hippocampus this piece was originally carved in 1905. Dentzel $219.00

383 Battle This rare English style carousel horse has it's romantic side on the left, compared to American style carousel horses, which have the romantic side on the right. This is one of only a handful of European style carousels in America. This horse operates at Six Flags Great America, Jackson, NJ. European Style $219.00

325 Bob Bob is a PTC Style and operates at Six Flags over Georgia, near Atlanta, GA. The Philadelphia Toboggan Company employed many of the great carvers over the years. Their style sometimes seems to have a little bit of everyone. This carousel is # 17 circa 1908. PTC $219.00

364 Burlington This aristocratic white stander with knightly trappings operates at City Park, Burlington, NC. Dentzel's collection of carousel horses were set apart from his contemporaries with delicate figures hanging from the trappings. Dentzel $219.00

359 Busch Gardens Hershell's contrasting style to other carvers was to have distinctively large heads and small bodies. His carousel horses were, also, designed for traveling carnivals. Very simple and plain, Herschell utilized pin stripping to enhance the simple designs. This carousel horse operates at Busch Gardens, Williamsburg, VA. Herschell $219.00

1010 Canada I This 2001 Philadelphia Toboggan Company carousel horse operates at Paramount Canada Wonderland. This PTC carousel is #84, circa 1928. PTC's carousel horses started out simple, but evolved into some of the most extravagantly designed horses ever. PTC $219.00

1009 Jimmy Parker's Flying Horse Swing, of which he had four, traveled throughout the mid-west and west, entertaining thousands. New in 2001, this colorful jumper full of action operates at Joyland Amusement Park in Lubbock, TX. C. W. Parker $219.00

1008 Mel Mel is the last known original piece that operated on the Knoebel Grove Carousel. The carousel was destroyed in a flood, but this horse was rescued from the flood waters and saved. The person who rescued the horse was named Mel. Knoebel/ Grove $219.00

1023 Bushkill 1 Herschell's contrasting style to other carvers was to have distinctively large heads and small bodies. His horses were designed small for his traveling carousels. Herschell's designs were very simple and plain, however, he enhanced the simplicity with pin striping. The manes were laid back or roached to avoid damage during travel. Herschell $219.00

337 Torch Torch is the lead horse on PTC # 44 Carousel at Paramount's Kings Dominion, located in Doswell, Virginia. This carousel was built in 1917 and still operates today. Torch is a magnificant animal carrying a torch to light the way. A true leader with a Lion shield and a pouch of arrows. Philadelphia Toboggan Company $219.00

363 Kings Dominion II This graceful jumper is on the PTC # 44 Carousel at Paramount's Kings Dominion, located at Doswell, Virginia. This carousel was built in 1917 and still operates today. Decorated with colorful flowers and ribbons, this horse leaps forever forward. Philadelphia Toboggan Company $219.00

372 Kings Dominion III This stargazer operates on the PTC # 44 at Paramount's Kings Dominion in Doswell, VA. This carousel was built in 1917 and still operates today. This gray horse supports a burning torch on each side of the saddle, red bow-ties to accompany. A green and white stripped blanket pulls it all together. Phildadelphia Toboggan Company $219.00

373 Kings Dominion IV This bay horse operates on the PTC # 44 Carousel at Paramount's Kings Dominion in Doswell, VA. This carousel was built in 1917 and still operates today. This horse is armed with arrows, all it needs is a rider. The bright red and blue blanket adorns the horse's charm. Philidelphia Toboggan Company $219.00

1053 Kit Carson Deer This Deer operates on PTC # 6 in Burlington, Colorado. Simple in design with a magnificent rack! The Kit Carson Commissioners purchased the carousel in 1928 for $1250. PTC $219.00

1077 Idora I - Lead Horse The Idora Park Carousel operated in Youngstown, OH.  The Carousel was made by the Philadelphia Toboggan Company, PTC # 61, 1922.  The white lead horse is decorated in bright rich colors. The Idora Carousel was sold in 1984 for $385,000. PTC       $219.00

1078 Idora II The Philadelphia Toboggan Company, PTC # 61, 1922 operated at Idora Park in Youngstown, OH.  This black stander is the second horse in PJ's series.  The Idora Carousel was sold in 1984 for $385,000. PTC       $219.00

1079 Idora III Idora Park Carousel operated in Youngstown, OH.  The Philadelphia Toboggan Company, PTC # 61 was built in 1922.  The carousel had three rows and 48 horses and 2 chariots. The Idora Carousel was sold in 1984 for $385,000. PTC       $219.00

1080 Idora IV Idora Park Carousel operated in Youngstown, OH.  The horses were on the Philadelphia Toboggan Company, PTC # 61, 1922.  The fourth horse in the PJ's series is a black armored horse. The Idora Carousel was sold in 1984 for $385,000. PTC       $219.00

343 Palace Playland, Old Orchard Beach Palace Playland operated at Old Orchard Beach in Maine.  The magnificent armored stander was the lead horse at Palace Playland.  The Carousel, PTC # 19, operated at Old Orchard Beach from 1969 to 1996. PTC       $219.00

389 "Uncle Sam", Knoebels Amazement Park This Carmel stander operated at the Kneobel Amazement Park in Elysburg, PA. Carmel borrowed many decorative themes from other carvers. This well proportioned stander with its patriotic trappings is a noble ride for any person. Nicknamed “Uncle Sam” this carousel ride was originally carved in 1913. Carmel $219.00

355 Flint Flint is on a Parker Carousel, circa 1912. Parker's Flying Horse Swing, of which he had four, traveled throughout the mid-west and west, entertaining thousands. Parker's horses were long and compact to accommodate the packing and moving that was required with a traveling carousel. C. W. Parker       $219.00

347 Providence, Providence rides a Looff Carousel, circa 1895, at Roger Williams Park in Providence, Rhode Island.  Looff's style was mainly armored horse, but with  style.  He used coats of arms and elegant drapery instead of  heavy metal. The legs on a Looff horse were slender, graceful and illustrated a great deal of motion. Looff       $219.00
